Float: “I’m a Boat Owner”
A video intended for Float’s website and social accounts – meant to encourage boat owners to list their crafts using the Float platform.
About the Client
Float offers the opportunity for people who don’t own boats to get out and enjoy the lake by offering peer-to-peer rentals ranging from fishing boats to pontoons and beyond.
Meanwhile, boat owners are able to utilize the platform by listing their boat and earning money when it is rented out.
About the Project
Problem: Attracting boat enthusiasts to rent out boats for a fun day on the lake is one thing, but encouraging owners to put a large asset out there for the public to rent is another. Owners typically approach the process with mixed feelings – especially when they’re not as familiar with the brand Float has built.
Process: Thankfully, Float has considered all the angles. Boats are insured, can be professionally captained, and are very easy to reserve for yourself on a day when you’d rather not rent out.
The video we produced reflected this simple process and translated it to boat owners in a quick and snappy one-minute format. Our goal was to encourage owners to literally “rest easy” and trust Float to do the rest.
Results: In one day, this video amassed over 2,000 views and 100+ positive interactions on LinkedIn. It has gone on to collect thousands of additional views on social media and at trade shows where boat owners are targeted.
