StopsBleeding Campaign

Services Provided: Strategy, Creative, Production, Facebook Ad Management (PPC)

We worked with bleedingfirstaid.com to make the StopsBleeding product’s first real venture into the DTC space.

When the company came to us, they had a great web strategy in place, so the challenge presented to us was finding ways to drive traffic to that new site.

Our recommendation? Hyper-targeted Facebook ads.

The product is widely applicable for various groups of people, so we knew a catch-all ad wouldn’t speak to anyone well enough. We proposed shooting 3 independent spots to target at 3 completely different audiences.

The result? CPC plummeted and the ads resonated. They generated dozens of organic shares and reactions plus hundreds of clicks – sometimes for as little as $0.16 each.

About the Client

Stopsbleeding is an organic, fine powder that can be applied directly to wounds. Our client, Bleeding First Aid, is a distributer of the product. They took the innovative approach of building an online presence for the traditionally retail product.

About the Project

Problem: StopsBleeding has experienced tremendous retail success, but experimentation with online sales or awareness-building have been limited. We had no real way to know how our efforts would be received.

Process: We knew that we had to approach the topic of dangerous, life-threatening wounds delicately to avoid harsh backlash. But we also knew we’d have to segment the vast potential audience for the product into groups that share common sentiments.

We came up with three personas and targeted one video ad at each group.

Results: Each of the three ads saw tremendous success with its audience: generating dozens of shares and reactions plus thousands of views and clicks.

For one video, the CPC plummeted to just $0.16.
